National Sculpture Society’s Sculpture Conference will be June 14-16, 2019.  The events will take place in New York City.

Events include:

The Richard McDermott Miller Competition – ten emerging artists sculpt from a live model

A presentation by Harold Holzer on his upcoming book “Monument Man – The Life and Art of Daniel Chester French

A presentation by Donna Hassler, Executive Director of Chesterwood, Daniel Chester French’s retreat

A talk by Jason Arkles, host of The Sculptor’s Funeral podcast: “The Future of Art History: Why Sculpture is Boring (again) and What We Might Do About It”

“The Collection” Exhibition of works in the Society’s collection
