Douglas White re-patinated his plaque that honors Japanese American Activist, Yuri Kochiyama, for the 25th anniversary of the “Yuri Kochiyama Lounge” at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. White originally created the plaque in 1997 for the civil rights proponent who was famously photographed holding Malcolm X after he was shot at the Audubon Ballroom in 1965.  The lounge will be re-dedicated on September 20, 2022.
