Eugene Daub

On May 1, 2026, on its inaugural “Salute to Space” celebration, the Air & Space Forces Association unveiled a statue in honor of Air Force Gen. Bernard A. Schriever by Eugene Daub, FNSS. The bronze figure depicts Schriever’s left hand reaching skyway, shielding his eyes as he looks to the heavens. The figure, at the entrance to the Association’s Arlington headquarters, stands before a floor-to-ceiling image of an Atlas rocket rumbling skyward, carrying astronaut John Glenn into orbit. Because of Schriever’s efforts to advance rocket and space technology in the 1950s, the U.S. developed the technologies, concepts and personnel who could win the race to the moon.
