George Lundeen, FNSS
In late August, George Lundeen’s monument of Colorado Rockies baseball player Larry Walker was unveiled in Denver, CO. The 15-foot, 800-pound bronze statue of the Rockies’ first Hall of Famer stands outside the main entrance of Coors Stadium. The sculpture pays tribute to the athlete who played with the Rockies for several seasons and captures in bronze the celebratory raise of the bat that followed a three-run, walk-off home run against the Atlanta Braves on August 18, 1999.
