In April, Glenna Goodacre will have a special auction of her sculpture. The sculptor, whose body of work runs from the monumental (Vietnam Women’s Memorial) to medallic (Sacagawea U.S. Dollar Coin), is allowing the public a chance to bid on over 100 items from her personal collection of art. Goodacre formally retired in the fall and donated a large portion of her studio accessories, books and four sculptures to the New Mexico School for the Arts in Santa Fe. As for the upcoming auction, Goodacre says “It’s an interesting new chapter in my life and I wanted to create a fun, exciting event for me and for the many collectors who enjoy my art.”
The auction is scheduled for April 6 and will be handled by Scottsdale Art Auction.
