Michael Keropian
On Sept 12, 2026, NSS Fellow Michael Keropian and the Town of Kent, NY unveiled his 4’ bronze of Daniel Nimham who was a Wappinger and Mohican Sachem who fought in NY court to reclaim stolen lands. In 1775, he and fellow Stockbridge militiamen joined Washington’s forces during the American Revolution. He and about 35 of his fellow Stockbridge would die at the battle for Kingsbridge on August 31, 1778. Two members of the Stockbridge Nation came out from Wisconsin.
