Luigi Badia is working on two commissioned sculptures. Both will be dedicated in 2023.
The first is of Harold J. Daggett, International President of the International Longshoremen’s Association.
The second sculpture is of Old Bet. The elephant, who was part of the start of the American traveling circus, was immortalized on a 15-foot-high pillar of dressed granite topped with a small wooden elephant, gilded in gold. The town of Somers commissioned Badia to create a permanent bronze version to top the monument.
