Marie Stuart Edwards by Cynthia Billingsley

Cynthia Billingsley unveiled her sculpture of Marie Stuart Edwards, a Suffragist and a major promoter of the women’s right to vote in Indiana. Among the many people who turned out for the ceremony in the town of Peru was Suzanne Crouch, Lt Governor of Indiana, and two of Edwards’  grandsons. The bronze depicting the women’s rights advocate as a young girl with her bicycle is situated in front of the Peru Public Library.
