In July 2023, Michelle Crider won a 1st place award in the 3d/experimental category at Peach Festival, Weatherford, TX. She used design principles with mixed media to create a hanging piece-wood, paper, dried flowers, cigar boxes. A friend inspired her to make an artistic expression of a ballad (uses the abcb rhyming scheme) since most of her works reflect a taste in music.  The cigar box tops looked like microscope slides so she used those to accentuate the dried material.
