The Three Graces
The Three Graces, a sculpture created by acclaimed sporting artist Joseph H. Sulkowski and sculptor Diana Reuter-Twining, NSS, will debut at Gallery by SEWE in historic downtown Charleston, SC, on October 10, 2024. The Three Graces was designed to accompany Sulkowski’s renowned mural-sized painting APOKALUPSIS: An Uncovering, the centerpiece of his career. It will be exhibited alongside select original paintings by Sulkowski through February 2025.
Inspired by the three hounds in Sulkowski’s APOKALUPSIS: An Uncovering, The Three Graces represents Love, Beauty, and Joy in three-dimensional form. Sulkowski and Reuter-Twining, working alongside 3D imaging expert Harry Abramson, brought the hounds to life using multiple materials including stainless steel, nickel, copper and acrylic with state-of-the-art technologies, utilizing sacred geometry and focusing on gesture. Their collaboration resulted in a transformative work of art that symbolically captures the journey of these figures through time and space toward transcendence.
“It is an honor to host The Three Graces in Gallery by SEWE this winter and through Southeastern Wildlife Exposition in February. Having The Three Graces on display for the public supports our mission and allows access to world class original work for the collector and the casual observer. We hope anyone that visits Charleston, especially during SEWE, will join us in celebrating the art and the artists from this remarkable project.” -John Powell, SEWE President & CEO
