NSS Fellow Walter Matia is the subject of the new “Keepers of the West” video series.  The 9-minute video follows Matia in his workshop in Dickerson, MD and around the Ladew Topiary Gardens in Monkton, MD where he was its artist-in-residence in 2025. Matia discusses his work, his beginnings, and his inspiration. “Keepers of the West,” produced by Grant Company, is a documentary series that celebrates people who carry the soul of the west.
