For sculptors, born between 1983-1998, who have been selected as a competitor in the Richard McDermott Miller Competition.
Eligibility: Sculptors must be selected for the 2019 Richard McDermott Miller Competition.
Sculptors must have been born between 1983-1998. All applicants must be citizens of or residents in the United States with a social security number.
Please note that work that is inspired by nature – or figurative or realistic sculpture – is preferred
Recipients: The sculptors selected to compete in the 2019 Richard McDermott Miller Modeling Competition will receive a Participation Scholarship.
Deadline: April 8, 2019
- Three night hotel stay
- $150 stipend
- Registration fee for the Sculpture Celebration Conference which takes place June 14-16, 2019 in New York City
- Complimentary one year Associate Membership with National Sculpture Society
- Complimentary one year subscription to Fine Art Connoisseur
To apply: Submit an application for the 2019 Richard McDermott Miller Competition. Selected competitors will receive a Participation Scholarship.
Jury: The jury will be the same as the jury for the Richard McDermott Miller Competition.
Additional: The scholarships are funded by bequests from the estates of Charlotte Geffken and Roger T. Williams and by gifts from Green-Wood Cemetery and Southeastern Wildlife Exposition. Please note that each recipient is responsible for his/her own meals, travel and daily expenses. NSS programs are open to individuals of all races, ethnic origins, colors, genders and religions.
