Laura Ziegler Scholarship
The Laura Ziegler Scholarship is for an emerging sculptor in the early stages of their career. There is no age limit.
Applicants must be citizens of or residents in the United States with a social security number.
The scholarship covers most of the expenses associated with attending the Sculpture Celebration Weekend.
Deadline: Monday, February 23, 2026
The Scholarship Includes:
Three night hotel stay, with breakfast
Registration fee for the Sculpture Celebration Weekend to be held May 15-16, 2026 in Old Lyme, CT
$200 Stipend
Complimentary one year Associate Membership with NSS
Please note that recipients are responsible for their own meals (two dinners are included), travel and daily expenses.
Submission Materials:
1. Images of six to twelve works of sculpture – three views each. (up to thirty-six images total). Images should be in JPG (.jpg) format.
2. A brief resume

Jury: Three sculptors will jury the applicants.
Additional: The scholarships are funded by a bequest from the estate of Laura Ziegler.
