Dexter Jones Award
The Dexter Jones Award of $5,000
DESCRIPTION:
The jury will determine the recipient based on an outstanding work of sculpture in bas-relief.
The use of figurative or realist sculpture or sculpture that is inspired by nature, is of greatest interest.
ELIGIBILITY:
Applicants must have been born between 1984 – 2005.
Applicants must be citizens of or residents in the United States with a social security number.

- Sculptors may submit images of 6 to 12 different works (up to 2 views each – maximum of 24 images total). Entries must include an image of at least one work in bas-relief.
- Sculptors should include a brief resume (under My Profile in Entry-Thingy)
NSS welcomes applications from all sculptors regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, socioeconomic status, education or disability.
Named in honor of Dexter Jones (1926-1986), a Fellow of NSS, the award was first presented in 2001. In addition to being an accomplished sculptor of portraits and works in the round, Jones created several outstanding bas-reliefs in his lifetime.
